Job Description:
This position is MF development and support but they also need to have AWS. So someone that has done support of MF applications troubleshooting fixing etc but has recently gotten experience with AWS.

Senior Cobol Mainframe Developer and Operations Support with over 13 years of experience in software development and support using Mainframe technologies.
Expert in COBOL, JCL, CICS, IMS DB/DC, DB2, and Assembler, with a strong understanding of mainframe architecture.
Led mainframe migration and modernization projects, successfully transitioning legacy applications to IBM iSeries Power 9 (AS400) and AWS.
Experienced in designing, developing, and optimizing EDP systems on mainframe platforms, ensuring high-performance batch processing, transaction management, and data integrity.
Optimized mainframe performance through tuning DB2 SQL queries, implementing indexing strategies, and enhancing GetNext (GN) processes.
Implemented and managed Sysplex environments, ensuring high availability, workload balancing, and system resilience.
Extensive hands-on experience in developing and maintaining enterprise-level applications using Natural Programming Language and ADABAS, with a strong focus on batch processing, online transaction systems, and database optimization.
Expert in integrating legacy EDP systems with modern technologies, enabling seamless data flow between mainframe applications, cloud platforms, and enterprise data warehouses.
Developed and maintained ETL processes using Informatica, DataStage, AWS Glue, and Python for seamless data transformation.
