Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of residential home construction projects in the West Palm Beach area. The primary focus will be on ensuring the successful completion of projects within the established timeframes and budgets while upholding the company's high standards of quality and craftsmanship. This is a leadership role that requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Manage the entire construction process for residential home projects from inception to completion.
  • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets in coordination with the company's objectives and client requirements.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential issues or delays, and proactively address them to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure adherence to project specifications and quality standards.
  • Conduct regular site visits to inspect construction progress, resolve any on-site issues, and maintain a safe and productive work environment.
  • Review and approve change orders, invoices, and subcontractor payments.

Team Management

  • Supervise and provide guidance to construction teams, including subcontractors, foremen, and site staff.
  • Foster a positive work environment that promotes collaboration, teamwork, and professional development.
  • Conduct regular meetings with the project team to communicate project updates, address concerns, and ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Coordinate and schedule subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely and efficient workflow.

Quality Assurance

  • Maintain a strong focus on quality control and ensure adherence to established construction standards and local building codes.
  • Conduct regular inspections to verify compliance with project specifications, identify any deficiencies, and implement corrective measures.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel on-site.

Budget and Cost Management

  • Prepare and manage project budgets, including accurate cost estimation and monitoring of expenses throughout the construction process.
  • Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor and supplier proposals, contracts, and change orders to ensure cost-effective project execution.
  • Monitor and control project costs, identify areas for cost savings, and provide timely and accurate reports to management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience as a Construction Manager, overseeing residential home construction projects from start to finish.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Solid understanding of budgeting and cost control principles.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Proficient in construction management software and tools.
