About the Role

This is a high-impact compliance leadership position responsible for managing trade operations throughout North America. Based in Charlotte, NC with hybrid flexibility, the Trade Compliance Manager will lead core functions such as HTS classification, duty optimization, broker oversight, and internal audits. You’ll serve as a key advisor to global trade teams and senior leadership, with influence over regional and international compliance frameworks. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead trade compliance across all North American import/export activities
• Design and maintain SOPs, training programs, and compliance policies
• Oversee customs broker and freight forwarder performance
• Manage HTS classification, FTAs, duty drawback, and tariff strategies
• Conduct internal audits and enforce corrective actions to reduce risk
• Deliver cross-functional training on trade compliance protocols
• Track regulatory developments and ensure proactive compliance readiness
• Collaborate with global trade teams to align on company-wide initiatives

Ideal Candidate

• Licensed U.S. Customs Broker (mandatory)
• 5–7+ years of international trade compliance experience, ideally in manufacturing
• Expert knowledge of U.S. import/export regulations and tariff classification
• Familiarity with NAFTA/USMCA, CBP, BIS, and trade cost strategies
• Proficient in SAP S/4 Hana, GTS, or comparable ERP/compliance platforms
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Based in or open to relocating to Charlotte, NC (relocation support provided)
