Northrop Grumman's Mission Systems sector communications team is hiring a **Senior Principal Public Relations Representative** who will work as a strategic advisor for priority efforts within the Navigation, Intelligence and Connectivity division. Using an objectives-based approach, the candidate will support the formulation of compelling stories to deliver measurable results. The role is **based in San Diego, CA** , and reports to the Division Communications Director. The candidate must be a confident strategic advisor, has experience leading teams in a matrixed organization, and constantly seeks improvement through disciplined measurement, analysis and adjustment. **BASIC QUALIFICATIONS** + Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing or a related field and a minimum of 8years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree and 6 years of relevant experience. + Experience as a communications advisor or leader. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong judgement, problem solving and organizational skills, and superb attention to detail. + Proficient in Associated Press Style. + Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). + Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance. + US citizenship required. **PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS** + Communications and leadership experience in the defense industry preferred. + DoD Secret Clearance **What We Can Offer You** Northrop Grumman provides a comprehensive benefits package and a work environment which encourages your growth and supports the mutual success of our people and our company. Primary Level Salary Range: $117,500.00 - $176,300.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
