Summary
The Civic Joy Fund is seeking a proactive and organized Special Projects Assistant to support the Deputy Executive Director in overseeing and executing our portfolio of city‑wide civic programs. The ideal candidate will be passionate about community engagement, comfortable juggling multiple projects, and adept at both operational coordination and light administrative duties.
Position Overview
As Special Projects Assistant, you will report directly to the Deputy Executive Director. You’ll help our fast moving and agile team manage and execute programming across all Civic Joy Fund initiatives, ensuring seamless coordination, strong volunteer engagement, and clear communication both internally and with external partners. This role combines on‑the‑ground event support with behind‑the‑scenes project management and administrative tasks.
Location and Logistics
The Special Projects Assistant is expected to work on site within San Francisco. The Civic Joy Fund’s office is at 1111 Oak Street, but our work will take us all across the city. We typically work remotely on Mondays and this role will include some evening and weekend work as a majority of our programs will occur at those times.
