Job Description

Senior Salesforce Developer

Optomi, in partnership with leading firm in the financial services industry is seeking a Senior Salesforce Developer to support a multi-entity Salesforce transformation initiative. This role will play a critical part in developing and modernizing a highly customized Salesforce environment. The organization is in a high-growth phase and looking to streamline and scale its Salesforce platform across five integrated business units. This role requires a hands-on developer comfortable with both administrative and advanced development responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop scalable and reusable code using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, and custom configurations
  • Perform data migrations using tools such as Data Loader or third-party apps
  • Collaborate with the Salesforce Solution Architect and cross-functional teams to design and implement strategic solutions
  • Build and maintain integrations between Salesforce and external systems via REST/SOAP APIs
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning and backlog grooming
  • Contribute to the development and management of DevOps pipelines (version control, CI/CD, automated testing)
  • Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance platform performance and security
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior developers and admins
  • Maintain documentation such as design specifications, user stories, and deployment guides
  • Stay current with Salesforce releases, new features, and best practices

Qualifications Required:

  • Minimum 4 years of hands-on Salesforce development experience in enterprise environments
  • Strong skills in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), REST/SOAP APIs, and Salesforce Flows
  • Proven experience with Sales Cloud and Service Cloud
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce security models, data architecture, and governor limits
  • Familiarity with Git-based version control and CI/CD tools
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I certification
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally

Preferred:

  • Experience with Financial Services Cloud (FSC)
  • Background in financial services or wealth management
  • Salesforce Platform Developer II or other advanced Salesforce certifications
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with enterprise systems
  • Understanding of Salesforce DevOps best practices

  • This position is hybrid with four days onsite required in the Austin, TX office
