Job Description

As a contributor to the Business Development team, this mid-level analyst works closely with the Business Development and Pursuit teams to help drive strategic growth initiatives. This role requires strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across and support our sales, pursuit, and solution teams to ensure seamless execution of business development strategies.

Responsibilities include:

  • Opportunity Research & Identification - Conduct in-depth research to identify and assess business development opportunities across multiple industries, leveraging market trends, client needs, and competitive intelligence.
  • Qualification & Analysis - Support qualification efforts through stakeholder mapping, competitive landscape assessments, solution reviews, and alignment of offerings with client requirements.
  • Operational & Strategic Support:
  • Development of client-facing and internal documentation and PowerPoint presentations
  • Coordinate meetings and schedules
  • Format deliverables and presentations for high-impact
  • Ensure quality and compliance with established internal standards and client expectations

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Assist with Business Development activities from identification to contract signature
  • Conduct independent research and analysis on new and identified opportunities to gather information to assess alignment. Utilize research to develop stakeholder analysis, competitive landscape and partner strategy.
  • Utilize published information and sources to analyze stakeholders, competition and partners by opportunities
  • Coordinate, plan for, source materials, and attend industry conferences as directed by Leads
  • Assist with the research of various technology solutions against client requirements and put together recommendations
  • Provide support to Pursuit team, Opportunity Pursuit Lead, Solution team or others for proposal responses by scheduling status meetings, developing requested templates, reviewing proposals for formatting consistency, compile content for presentations and other related tasks.
  • Completion and compliance of administrative forms and documents
  • Assemble large, sophisticated, master documents (expert level of Word)
  • Review, evaluate, and summarize documents needed to respond to Request for Proposal/Offer (RFP/RFO)
  • Analyze proposal requirements, develop response templates and requirements matrix for compliant response
  • Develop and maintain business development opportunity artifacts including pipeline, opportunity reviews, and related proposal documents
  • Partner with sales and pursuit staff to identify staffing requirements, align resumes, and complete necessary forms

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

  • Experience researching across multiple sources to gather information; ability to evaluate, analyze, and make recommendations based on such information
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Experience with conducting research and summarizing results
  • Demonstrated critical thinking capabilities to break down ambiguous or multifaceted data to identify patterns, risks, and opportunities to recommend next steps and/or actionable strategies.
  • Excellent planning skills with a demonstrated ability to analyze requirements, define logical tasks and schedules to meet those requirements
  • Expert level use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe (desktop publishing),
  • Strong written and oral communication skills including the ability to communicate with all levels within an organization

Desirable qualifications for the role:

  • Experience with government clients
  • Desirable proficiency with graphics packages, including Visio, Microsoft Project, or Adobe Illustrator
  • Desirable experience with sales lifecycle for technology solutions and services

Compensation:

$32/hr to $38/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
