Job Description

Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Project Engineer to join our team in Katy, TX. This critical role is essential for supporting our "engineer-to-order" business model, which focuses on delivering bespoke client solutions for fabricated pumping systems and rotating equipment. The Project Engineer will provide technical leadership for custom projects, guiding them from the initial conception phase through to final delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Rigorous review of complex client proposals, specifications, and inspection reports to accurately determine engineering requirements and feasibility.
• Hands-on creation and/or meticulous review of engineering drawings, including general arrangements, fabrication drawings, and centrifugal pump component designs, utilizing SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Collaboration and sharing of existing drafting resources to ensure efficient project execution.
• Specification and procurement of engineered equipment necessary for project completion.
• Development of detailed shop routings to guide the fabrication process.
• Crucial management of project timelines to ensure adherence to required delivery schedules.
• Assisting Project Managers with the preparation and delivery of necessary customer documentation.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering is required.
• Experience: 2-5 years of relevant experience with rotating equipment (e.g., pumps, mixers, heat exchangers, blowers, compressors).
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Experience reading P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams).
• Core Competencies: Strong project management experience.
• Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Exceptional communication abilities (written and verbal).
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet tight deadlines.
