Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Project Designer with strong CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, etc.) experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, drafting, and developing comprehensive project plans, ensuring they meet the needs of our clients while adhering to all technical specifications. This role requires proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, etc.), excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with project managers and other team members. This position will also be responsible for communicating with an overseas design team for assigning and reviewing design projects (communicating in English).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design Development: Create detailed project designs, floor plans, layouts, and technical drawings using CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, etc.).
  • Project Coordination: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure design specifications are met within timelines and budget.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of design revisions, meeting notes, and project schedules.
  • Creating submittal packages specifically designed for individual projects. 
  • Compliance & Standards: Ensure designs adhere to local building codes, industry standards, and company guidelines.
  • Technical Support: Provide CAD technical support and troubleshooting for other team members.
  • Quality Control: Review designs for quality, consistency, and feasibility before submission.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to refine designs and resolve any issues that arise during the design process.
  • Client Interaction: Present design concepts to clients and make adjustments based on feedback.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay current on industry trends, software updates, and best practices in design and CAD technology.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Project Designer, CAD Designer, or in a similar role.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, SolidWorks, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of design principles, drafting techniques, and industry standards.
  • Experience with 3D modeling and rendering is a plus.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify challenges early in the design process and propose innovative solutions.
  • Attention to Detail: High attention to detail, ensuring that designs are accurate and compliant with all specifications.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Trello, Asana).
  • Knowledge of sustainable design practices and materials.
  • Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) and related software.
Working Conditions:
  • This position will be in-office, with the option for flexible working hours.
  • Occasional travel may be required for site visits or client meetings.
