Job Description

Summary:

The Product Assistant’s primary responsibility is to support the end-to-end development process to produce best-in-class footwear. This role is responsible for overseeing and assisting product management from initial design concept to final production while remaining within seasonal deadlines. This includes daily communication with factories and internal teams.

Position Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Plans and tracks the development schedule of all footwear products to ensure a timely completion following the pre-determined product development calendar
  • Liaise with internal production, design, sales, merchandising, and marketing teams
  • Execute product sourcing strategy and quality standards, managing factory communication, fit/wear testing, 3rd party testing, and quality control
  • Ensure all product details meet approved standards and deadlines
  • Maintain development project status reporting and other status charts
  • Maintain style master files of all lines by season
  • Prepare seasonal line handoffs to production
  • Support design in technical packages (specifications) creation
  • Ensures execution of fit intent and fit consistency through clear analysis, documentation, and communication.
  • Work with the marketing department to ensure all new styles get handed off and are accurately conveyed

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Must be computer literate in Excel, Word, email, and digital camera usage
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and excellent follow-up skills
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Sense of urgency and intuitive sense of priorities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to multitask

Education and Experience :

  • Bachelor's in business, fashion, merchandise,g or design
  • 1-3 years of related experience
  • Footwear experience is a bonus
