Job Description

A well-established Asian food trading and distribution company is seeking a bilingual (English / Japanese, Chinese, or Korean) and experienced Office Manager to oversee daily operations at our Seattle branch, located in Tacoma, WA. This role is responsible for managing administrative functions, supporting executives, and ensuring the smooth running of accounting, HR, and office operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of working in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily office operations to ensure efficiency and compliance with company policies
  • Provide executive support to the Branch Manager and outside sales team, including calendar management, meeting coordination, and communication handling
  • Oversee accounting tasks such as invoicing, expense tracking, and basic bookkeeping
  • Handle human resources functions, including onboarding, timekeeping, employee records management, and benefits coordination
  • Maintain office supplies and equipment, and manage relationships with vendors and service providers
  • Assist with both internal and external communications to ensure smooth information flow
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and various business documents as needed
  • Coordinate administrative matters with headquarters and other branch locations
  • Foster and maintain a positive, professional, and well-organized office environment

Qualifications:

  • Bilingual in English and Japanese, Chinese, or Korean (required)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in office management or a related administrative role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting and HR functions
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
  • This position includes warehousing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 15 pounds, lift in excess of 15 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear.
