Job Description:

• The Microbiologist/Molecular Biologist will support research and development initiatives by performing microbial analysis across various client Crop Science projects.
• This role will contribute to method development, execute laboratory assays, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure high-quality data generation and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct microbiological analyses on a variety of microbial species to support internal research studies.
• Develop and refine protocols for Colony Forming Unit (CFU) quantitation and other microbiological techniques.
• Perform viability and stability assays following established standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Process diverse sample types for microbial recovery and cultivation across multiple media types.
• Prepare, analyze, and communicate experimental data and findings to internal teams and stakeholders.
• Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Participate in general lab upkeep, including supply inventory, equipment calibration, and cleanliness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams within client, as well as with external partners as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
• Experience with microbial culturing, aseptic techniques, and microbial quantification methods.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex protocols accurately.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for reporting and collaboration.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
