An established company in the automotive industry is seeking a hands-on Materials Manager to oversee inventory, procurement, and supply chain operations. This position is ideal for a dynamic leader with operations startup experience and a strong track record in managing people . The Materials Manager will play a critical role in ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and seamless material flow within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement materials management strategies to optimize inventory levels and reduce costs.
Oversee procurement, storage, and distribution to support production needs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely material availability.
Build and maintain strong vendor relationships , negotiating contracts and pricing for optimal supply chain performance.

Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies related to materials management.
Automotive industry experience required.
Operations startup experience with a proven ability to establish and scale processes.
Hands-on leadership style , working closely with teams at all levels.
Experience managing people , including hiring, training, and performance management.
Strong knowledge of inventory control, procurement, and supply chain management .
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills .
Proficiency in ERP systems and materials management software is a plus.
