  • Vendor coordination: Solicit/evaluate quotes; maintain current cost databases and vendor relationships.
  • Bids & proposals: Prepare complete bid packages; collaborate with PMs and engineers to align scope and assumptions.
  • Project handoff: Provide scope breakdowns and cost documentation to project management for smooth award transitions.
  • Collaboration & Communicate: Work closely with internal teams, contractors, engineers, and vendors; attend pre-bid/job walks as needed.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Experience: 3+ years estimating commercial HVAC and/or plumbing projects; familiar working with engineers and General/MEP contractors.
  • Education: Associate or Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
  • Technical Skills: Solid understanding of mechanical systems, duct/piping layouts, code requirements; reads blueprints/schematics confidently.
  • Tools: Proficiency with estimating software (Trimble, FastPIPE/FastDUCT, Bluebeam, or equivalent) and Microsoft Excel/Word/Outlook/Teams.
  • Attributes: Detail-obsessed accuracy, strong math/analysis, organized under tight deadlines, clear communicator, and team player.
  • Nice to have: Process-builder mindset—experience creating estimating/bidding workflows and leveraging tech to improve them.

Why Join Delta T Equipment?
