About the Company Industry-Credit Union The Director of Finance supports the CFO by managing day-to-day financial activities, overseeing specific functions such as financial reporting, budgeting, and cash management. This role ensures accurate documentation, compliance with policies, and effective departmental operations. The Director of Finance works closely with other departments, coordinates financial reviews, and provides analysis and reporting to support strategic decision-making. About the Role Five years to eight years of similar or related experience. Responsibilities Manage day-to-day financial activities. Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and cash management. Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with policies. Coordinate financial reviews and provide analysis and reporting. Support strategic decision-making. Qualifications A bachelor's degree, or Achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.g., information technology certifications in lieu of a degree). Required Skills Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting. Proficient in financial analysis, cash management, and liquidity forecasting. Experience with regulatory compliance and policy updates. Excellent attention to detail and advanced Excel skills. Effective communication and project management abilities. Preferred Skills Interpersonal Skills: Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
