Normal Hours M-F

Hybrid remote- 3x per week onsite in Manhattan NY

Contract Digital Designer – Role Overview

We’re looking for a Contract Digital Designer to join a busy in-house creative team during a high-impact campaign season. This is a digital-first production role , where you'll be creating responsive, customer-facing assets across web, email, and display channels. While the focus is digital, you'll also need to be comfortable working within brand systems that touch on print. Proficiency in Figma is key, and you should have a solid grasp of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat to support print-related tasks when needed.

We’re seeking someone with strong technical production skills, sharp attention to detail, and the ability to work quickly without sacrificing quality. The right candidate will be adaptable, team-oriented, and comfortable juggling deadlines in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.

What You'll Do (Digital Design Focus)

  • Design and produce a high volume of assets like:
  • Responsive emails, banner ads, web components, social graphics, and landing page elements.
  • Support campaign rollouts by versioning and localizing content for different markets.
  • Work within established Figma systems , leveraging components, design tokens, and grids to maintain visual consistency.
  • Follow accessibility and responsive design best practices to ensure usability across devices.
  • Deliver accurate, platform-ready creative that meets brand and legal requirements.
  • Carefully manage multilingual content (Spanish, Chinese, etc.), ensuring layout and typography stay intact.

Additional Responsibilities (Print Support)

  • Collaborate with print designers to keep campaigns cohesive across all channels.
  • Help with overflow tasks by updating print layouts and preparing files for production.
  • Apply basic knowledge of print setup, CMYK workflows , and version control for regulated content.

What We're Looking For

  • 5–7 years of experience in digital design and production, including working with Figma-based systems .
  • Strong expertise in responsive design, digital platforms, and email marketing systems.
  • Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign , and Acrobat .
  • Comfortable with basic print production and file prep for high-quality output.
  • Proven ability to handle fast-paced environments and shifting priorities.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and ability to work within regulatory guidelines.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative work style.
  • Comfortable using digital tools and working in hybrid or remote settings.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently.
  • Experience doing emails and landing pages in Figma, building systems in Figma

Nice-to-Haves

  • Background in regulated industries like healthcare or finance.
  • Strong print production experience.
  • Familiarity with multilingual design and layout challenges.
  • Bonus if you have some experience with motion/video tools (like After Effects or Premiere).
  • Self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Flexible and open to direction, with a team-first mindset.
