Vander Haag’s has a great opportunity for an experienced  Diesel Service Technician (Diesel Mechanic)to join our team in  London, Ohio.

ASE Certification is preferred, but not required. Vander Haag’s offers:

• Hourly base pay that reflects your experience in the industry.
• A complete benefits package.
• Work in a clean, well-lit,  air conditioned  shop, complete with overhead hoists and shop equipment. The shop was built brand new in 2023.
• All of our repair work is done inside the shop. No travel or roadside repair work is required in this position.

At Vander Haag’s, no two days are exactly the same. You get the opportunity to work on a wide range of different heavy duty truck makes and models! General duties include:

• All types of medium and heavy duty truck repair
• Engine diagnostics and overhauls
• Drivetrain
• Electrical
• DOT inspections
• PM maintenance
• Hydraulic systems
• Fabrication 

Hours: Day shift hours, Monday through Friday. No evenings, weekends, or holidays required!

Compensation: This position pays an hourly base compensation + overtime.  Hourly rate will range from $25.00 - $40.00/hour. Hourly rate is dependent upon experience and qualifications (e.g., ASE Certifications, etc.).

Tools: Vander Haag’s offers flexible arrangements to assist you with the purchase of additional tools (if necessary). We also sell Milwaukee power tools right at our store locations!

Prior mechanical experience with heavy duty trucks (Class 6 - 8) is preferred. Associates degree in Diesel Technology or related field is also preferred.
