CORN OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR

General Summary:

Under the direction of Corn Operations Manager, the Corn Operations Supervisor is responsible for receiving, sorting, storing and maintenance of all corn products received in the facility. Also responsible for staffing, training and coordinating rail train delivery schedules, to ensure adequate and prompt storage of products while maintaining equipment related to corn storage in accurate working conditions. Ensures support of departmental safety goals, environmental ISO-14000, corporate mandate and other assignments as required.

Essential Functions:

• Supervise elevator operations, including but not limited to, corn receiving, corn transfers to production, corn conservation, corn shipments, waste loading and physical inventory.
• Ensures all corn processing activities are in conformance with specifications and GMP’s.
• Serves as a liaison between department manager and hourly employees.
• Verifies labor hours and payroll report accurately through ADP
• Resolve team conflict and issue corrective actions, performance reviews, and promote recognition
• Must follow and enforce all company policies, procedures and regulations
• Supervise and provide resources to personnel within the corn department
• Ensure safety training is adhered, and SOP are accurate and up to date
• Train staff on receiving, transfer and exchange product though railroad coordination
• Ability to coordinate seasonal harvest needs and monitor temporary personnel
• Enforce and ensue all ISO 14000 procedures are followed, and employees are trained.
• Ability to work varied indoor, outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust and loud noises etc. (PPE provided)
• Ability to work in elevated areas, confined space, weekends, holidays, and different shifts as needed.
• Performs additional duties in relation to corn local and as required

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

Education: High School diploma or equivalent required. Some college preferred, not required.

Experience: 2 years in Agricultural or Food Manufacturing Industry, preferable not required.

Language Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred
