This position will be based on-site in Portland and oversee the construction of a large, multi-phase multifamily project.
Applicants must have 5+ years experience managing multifamily construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers and team members to ensure seamless project execution.
- Subcontractor Management: Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, ensuring work aligns with project plans and timelines.
- Scheduling: Develop and maintain project schedules using Critical Path Method (CPM) techniques.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work meets quality standards and project specifications.
- Safety Compliance: Implement and enforce safety protocols, conducting weekly safety meetings and ensuring compliance with OSHA standards.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records, including daily reports, as-built documents, and inspection logs.
- Budget Management: Assist in controlling costs and managing material procurement in line with project budgets.
- Communication: Serve as the primary on-site point of contact, facilitating clear communication among all stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in multifamily construction or similar mixed-use projects.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in reading and interpreting construction plans, shop drawings, and specifications.
- Scheduling Tools: Experience with project management and scheduling software.
- Leadership: Proven ability to manage on-site crews, including assistant superintendents and foremen.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with OSHA regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
