Job Description

Position Title: National Sales Director – Walmart

Location: Must be in Bentonville, AR (Open to relocation)

Overview: We are seeking a strategic and results-driven National Sales Director to lead the Walmart business for a leading CPG organization. This role is responsible for driving profitable growth, managing cross-functional relationships, and delivering against ambitious sales targets across multiple categories within a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the customer relationship with Walmart, serving as the primary point of contact and strategic partner.
  • Lead joint business planning, annual negotiations, and long-range strategic initiatives.
  • Develop and execute customer-specific strategies to drive sales, market share, and profitability.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams including Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, and Category Management.
  • Manage trade spend and ensure efficient investment to maximize ROI.
  • Lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer insights to inform strategy.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in CPG sales, with a strong track record of success managing Walmart.
  • Deep understanding of the retail landscape, particularly in OTC, Health, and Wellness categories.
  • Proven ability to lead complex negotiations and build strategic customer relationships.
  • Strong analytical skills and financial acumen.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
