JustinBradley’s client, a leading source of mortgage financing, is seeking a highly skilled Business Data Analyst to join their Data Warehouse team. The successful candidate will work closely with business users, analysts, developers, and report directly to the Data Management Manager. This role involves troubleshooting data variances and failures, providing root cause analysis, and collaborating with various stakeholders to resolve issues efficiently. If you have a strong background in SQL, data analysis, and experience with Informatica code reading, we would love to have you on their team.

Must be local to Reston, VA for their on-site requirement.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshooting & Analysis: Analyze complex requirements by reading STTMs and leverage your knowledge to troubleshoot failures in a production environment.
• Solution Proposal: Propose effective solutions to address identified data issues and recommend changes based on root cause analysis.
• SQL Scripting: Write SQL scripts to correct data discrepancies and collaborate with technical teams to ensure that the changes are implemented successfully in production.
• Data Verification & Certification: Verify and certify data changes post-implementation to ensure accuracy and alignment with business rules.
• Stakeholder Communication: Articulate technology solutions, consult with systems analysts/tech leads, and present business requirements to internal and external stakeholders.
• Data Documentation & Analysis: Understand Data Lineage, source-to-target mapping, and document data elements accurately to meet business needs.
• Meetings & Presentations: Conduct meetings and presentations to share insights and findings with the team and stakeholders.
• Collaboration & Documentation: Work closely with business and technical teams to ensure alignment on data requirements and business rules, and document the results effectively.
• Time & Resource Management: Manage competing resources and priorities while ensuring that tasks are completed with minimal supervision.
• Problem Resolution Ownership: Take full ownership of the issue resolution lifecycle, ensuring problems are addressed promptly and accurately.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in Business/Data Analysis, with proven expertise in working with Data Warehouses.
• A bachelor’s degree is required.
• Strong experience with advanced SQL, particularly on Oracle databases. Recent hands-on experience is a plus.
• Deep understanding of Data Warehouse/Mart concepts, with the ability to analyze and troubleshoot data flows and mappings.
• Proficiency with Toad for data comparison, JIRA, and Confluence. Basic experience with AWS (login, repository access) is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work with Source-to-Target Mapping (STTM) documentation and other data documentation for traceability checks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong working knowledge of agile practices and tools.
• Highly organized with strong time-management skills, and the ability to juggle multiple competing priorities.
• Ability to read and analyze Informatica code (development experience not required).
