Our Client, a Global Investment Bank, is seekng a Senior Business Analyst - Trading & Regulatory Systems.

Overview :

We are seeking a Business Analyst with deep experience in the Financial Services domain, particularly with trading systems and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have hands-on exposure to equity order lifecycle, order management systems, and FIX protocol, and will play a key role in supporting a trading platform migration project. This position blends both functional and technical expertise and requires frequent collaboration with internal stakeholders and external vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a liaison between the business and IT teams to identify, analyze, and document business requirements.
• Analyze existing trading workflows and validate new system implementations during the migration process.
• Partner with vendor development teams to evaluate solutions and product updates.
• Develop, document, and execute test plans, test scenarios, and test scripts.
• Provide subject matter expertise and translate business requirements into functional specifications.
• Conduct usability testing and ensure client satisfaction through follow-ups and support.
• Identify and recommend workflow improvements, best practices, and optimization opportunities.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge in business analysis standards and capital markets practices.
• May lead or mentor junior analysts or team members as needed.

Required Experience & Skills:

• Strong background in capital markets and trading systems.
• Proven experience with equity trading workflows, including:
• Domestic and international sell-side equity trading.
• Algorithmic and retail trade flows.
• OTC trading.
• Middle-office processes like bunching and allocations.
• Experience working with FIX protocol and understanding of regulatory reporting requirements (e.g., FINRA).
• Familiarity with order management systems such as BRASS or FlexTrade is a plus.
• Strong business analysis skills, including requirements gathering, process mapping, and testing.
• Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Office, basic database querying, and QA platforms for test case execution and issue tracking.

Education & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong sense of ownership, attention to detail, and a customer-service mindset.

Nice to Have:

• Foreign exchange transactions and cross-currency settlements.
• Trading system migrations or platform replacements.
• Advanced regulatory compliance knowledge beyond FINRA.
• Experience with Sell-Side OMS/EMS platforms and global trading environments.
