Leminal Diagnostics provides diagnostic imaging systems, parts, and services to healthcare providers worldwide. We combine speed, quality, and a global supply network to ensure critical medical equipment is available when and where it’s needed. We are seeking a Biomedical Engineering Technician (CBET) to support our Lincolnshire, IL operations. This role is responsible for the testing, troubleshooting, repair, parting-out, and refurbishing of diagnostic imaging equipment. The position requires strong multi-modality experience.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and repair diagnostic imaging equipment
  • Perform parting-out and harvesting of equipment and subcomponents for resale; ensure accurate documentation and labeling of all parts
  • Conduct refurbishing and quality checks on imaging equipment in accordance with OEM and ISO 13485 standards
  • Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and inventory data
  • Collaborate with operations leadership to ensure timely processing of incoming equipment and preparation for customer delivery
  • Adhere to all regulatory, safety, and quality standards, including ESD-safe practices
  • Maintain tools, test equipment, and workspace in proper working condition
  • Support continuous improvement efforts to increase efficiency and reduce turnaround times

Qualifications

  • Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) or equivalent military training / experience in biomedical equipment repair (e.g., U.S. Army 68A, U.S. Navy Hospital Corpsman – Biomedical, U.S. Air Force BMET, or similar)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with diagnostic imaging equipment; GE CT expertise required
  • Multi-modality experience (MRI, ultrasound, X-ray, mammography, etc.) highly desirable
  • Strong technical knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and computer systems related to imaging equipment
  • Familiarity with ISO 13485 quality management standards and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to read and interpret service manuals, schematics, and technical documentation
  • Proficient in documentation and recordkeeping; ERP / WMS experience a plus
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks required in equipment servicing
