ON CALL BANQUET SERVER: The On-Call Banquet Server provides professional food and beverage service during banquets, meetings, and special events. This role ensures guest satisfaction by delivering prompt, courteous service while maintaining high hospitality standards. Responsibilities include event setup, serving meals and beverages, attending to guest needs, and assisting with event breakdown. Flexibility, professionalism, and teamwork are essential.
We are seeking a professional and guest-focused On-Call Banquet Server to join our team. This role provides food and beverage service during banquets, meetings, and special events, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for our guests. Responsibilities include reviewing event orders, setting up banquet spaces, serving meals and beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting with event breakdown. The ideal candidate is flexible, team-oriented, attentive to detail, and committed to delivering exceptional hospitality.

Overall Operation Responsibilities
- Review Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) to ensure accurate setup and service.
- Set up banquet rooms and event spaces, including tables, chairs, staging, dance floors, and A/V equipment.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently, ensuring courses are timed appropriately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet areas throughout events.
- Break down and reset banquet spaces after functions.
- Follow all hotel safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards.
- Transport linens to and from laundry.
- Help maintain banquet inventory by requesting supplies as needed
- Demonstrate brand standards, behaviors, hallmarks and mandates.
- Follow all emergency and safety/sanitary guidelines in order to provide a safe and secure environment for guests, associates and visitors.
- Follow all guidelines, policies and procedures as outlined by PHM’s Employee Handbook such as, following attendance policies, professional demeanor, lost and found, etc.
Interpersonal Relationships
- Provide attentive, courteous, and professional service to guests at all times.
- Collaborate effectively with banquet captains, fellow servers, and kitchen staff.
- Communicates guest needs, issues, or concerns promptly to supervisors.
- Maintain a polished, professional appearance and positive attitude.
WORK EXPERIENCE: Prior banquet, catering, or food & beverage service experience preferred. Hospitality industry experience helpful; training provided for qualified candidates.
EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Meet California state minimum age to sell and serve alcohol.

We are seeking an experienced, outgoing, and knowledgeable Banquet Server/Set-Up Supervisor who can easily engage with and adapt to our unique culture. This role is responsible for leading the banquet team, enforcing service standards, and ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for our guests. Key responsibilities include reviewing banquet event orders (BEOs), organizing the team, overseeing event setup, maintaining cleanliness, ensuring proper food and beverage presentation, enforcing service standards, and assisting with service as needed.
The Banquet Server/Set-Up Supervisor works closely with managers and associates to anticipate and meet guest needs. We are looking for a proactive team member who will uphold our high-quality standards, contribute innovative ideas, and help enhance guest satisfaction scores.
