Harrisburg-based Clark Transfer is looking for a new member of our Accounting and Administrative team serving the transportation and logistics needs of the touring theatre and live entertainment industries. As an Accounting Technician, you will work as a member of our accounting and administrative team. Your primary responsibilities include:

• Process invoices, distribute for expense approvals, and perform data entry of the approved invoices
• Review statements for accuracy; when necessary, request invoices from the vendor and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain vendor records and develop strong relationships with vendors, including Owner Operators
• Assist Owner Operator drivers with accurate and timely invoice voucher submissions, process driver advance offsets, perform an audit of invoice vouchers, provide feedback, and make corrections on invoice vouchers
• Gather expense receipts and prepare credit card statement reconciliations
• Prepare expense check batches 
• Prepare cash receipt batches
• Assist with month-end and year-end processes, including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, report creation, and 1099 preparation
• Process, then audit fuel receipts, calculate, and file IFTA and HUT fuel tax returns 
• Provide invoice voucher training to new Owner Operators during orientations 
• Perform general accounting and office duties as assigned
• Receive and distribute postal mail, read and respond to incoming emails, answer telephones, schedule meetings and conference calls, and replenish and organize supplies.

This work requires:

• Minimum of 2 years accounting experience or 4 years of accounts payable experience is required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite programs
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP is a plus
• Must be able to create spreadsheets with advanced formulas and analyze information
• Accuracy and exceptional attention to detail with a desire to improve efficiency
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a deadline-driven, fast pace environment 
• A self-starter, able to operate effectively on your own and as part of a close-knit team
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in the Transportation or Trucking industry preferred
• Associate's or Bachelor’s Degree in accounting preferred
